Lower altitudes of these mountains give off clouds of dust when winds blow. The wind doesn’t seem to wear them down. The Great Plateau on top is the home to the Chalan and the Charoo people.

In The Great Open. Some part of it is apparently semi-sentient. It is dry most of the year.
However, survivors of its assaults have claimed water will suddenly pour over its banks, and drag a caravan under the sands. it has been known to change channels to trap the unwary.

A tidal bore in the ice regions of The Great Open. Large ocean waves roar down through here and crash upon the islands, tossing anything and anyone over the hills to the North.
